The Exchange Club of Norman offers service opportunities through a variety of projects and activities.

Child Abuse Prevention Activates
include:
Casual For A Cause
— Exchange Club of Norman’s Main Fundraiser. This program is a Casual Day event, in which area businesses allow their employees to come to work in casual dress, if they wear the Casual For A Cause t-shirt or bracelet. Wearing either item entitles the employee to a free lunch on the Club. All proceeds are used for local programs and agencies in their fight against child abuse.

Blue Light of Hope/Blue Tree of Hope -
one blue light for every child in Cleveland county confirmed abused and neglected using the most current statistics.

Americanism Activities
include:
GIVEAKIDAFLAGTOWAVE — distributing small American flags to children during the 89er day parade.  Other exchange promotional items are also distributed as well as informational items.


Community Service Projects include:
Book Buddies Program — Unique to Cleveland County and the Exchange Club of Norman. This program was initiated when a need was discovered at the Cleveland County Shelter for children celebrating a birthday while in the shelter. The Exchange Club of Norman now provides age-appropriate books for these children as a birthday gift. Additionally, every child in the shelter receives an age-appropriate book on one randomly selected day each month. The program provides happiness and joy in the darkest time of these children’s lives.


Youth Projects include:
ACE Award — Accepting the Challenge of Excellence— honors up to 6 high school students who have made dramatic changes in their lives or attitudes enabling them to overcome adversity and complete high school. One outstanding candidate will be selected and submitted to the district competition.
Youth of the Month/Year — recognizes high school students for their academic record and volunteer efforts.
